Night at the Museum: Lego Star Wars ( Return of the Brick)
May 6th, 2023 4pm-8pm

Come on back to the Sault Ste. Marie Museum and join us once again to bring you on an adventure through the #Starwars saga using #lego displays. This year we will have over 100 new sets on display including more original trilogy, prequel trilogy and sequel trilogy favourites.

In addition to our collection on display here is a list of all the things to expect this time around.

• Cosplay Contest:
  Dress up in your favourite Star Wars cosplay for your chance to win some cool #lego prizes.

• Photo Booth:
  Have your picture taken and edited onto a variety of #starwars themed backgrounds or have your picture taken with a life-sized lego model of everyone's favourite character Baby Yoda!

• Video Games:
  Svenny McG will be back with some Lego and Star Wars-themed games for you to play on modern and retro consoles.

• Face Painting:
  Get your face painted by @makeupbymichelle with a variety of things and star wars-themed designs.

• Carnival Games:
  Test your skill in some Lego Star Wars-related carnival games. These games will cost between 1$-5$ and all proceeds will go towards the continued design and opening of a future storefront.

• Local Vendors:
  Shop some local vendors selling StarWars-related merchandise. these vendors are to be determined closer to the event date. Keep an eye on our #facebook and this posting for details. If you're a vendor and would like a table please reach out to us via email at twinsoobricks@gmail.com

• Giveaways and Silent Auction:
  We will be giving away small prizes throughout the night and there will be a silent auction for a #lego #starwars set to be determined closer to the event.

There’s lots to do this Family Day at the Bushplane Museum, Monday, February 20th. We’re partnering with Entomica Insectarium to host a winter-themed family carnival that embraces our diverse community. Visit with your family and enjoy:

• Spanish-English storytime with the Algoma Latin Association (11 am in the Children’s Centre)

• Family Tree activity with the Algoma Latin Association

• 3D printing demonstrations with Maker North

The Rotary Santa Claus Parade presented by IDA Sweet Greetings will welcome Santa to Sault Ste. Marie on Saturday, November 19th at 6 PM when he makes his annual entrance along Queen Street East, between Church Street and Gore Street.

The Bickspace will be revealing our new mascot who will be walking the parade route and handing out candy canes.

The display will also feature a fully motorized Hogwarts Express.

Interactive activities will be available for a small fee, with proceeds being donated to the Sault Area Hospital Foundation.

Come down and check out the magical Harry Potter Lego collection on loan from The Brickspace - Twin Soo Bricks! This massive collection features sets from all franchise films and a motorized Hogwarts Express!

Admission to the event is by donation to the Sault Ste. Marie Museum.

There will be trick or treating on the @saultmuseum front steps from 2pm - 4pm.

Doors for the event open at 4pm and the event is open till 8pm.

Spin the sorting hat Lego set and be sorted into your houses and explore the miniature world of Hogwarts (Spins are available for 1$ )

Locally made chocolate frogs will be available for purchase for 5$ each.

Have your picture taken and be turned into a wanted poster from Azkaban, the posters will then be available for purchase for 5$

Proceeds from the sale of chocolate frogs, Azkaban wanted posters and sorting hat spins will be going towards the opening of The Brickspace's storefront.

SvennyMCG will be back with some Harry Potter-themed retro gaming.

Night @ The Museum: Lego Star Wars

Calling all Star Wars Fans! The Brickspace and The Sault Ste. Marie Museum invites you to come to visit your local museum for a night of Star Wars-themed fun and Lego.

Come check out a massive collection of Lego Star Wars sets on display from The Brickspace. These Lego sets cover almost the entire Star Wars saga and go as far back as the theme's launch in 1999.

Battle your way throughout the galaxy with SvennyMCG who will have some classic and modern Star Wars games on site for you to enjoy.

Star Wars-themed Donuts and beverages will be available while supplies last. There will also be giveaways throughout the night.

Dress up in your favorite Star Wars cosplay for a chance to win cool Lego Star Wars prizes. A photo wall will also be available for you to get your picture taken while in cosplay.

Come on out and help us celebrate the 45th anniversary of Star Wars, the 90th anniversary of the Lego Brick and the 2nd anniversary of The Brickspace!

and join us for a magical evening of creativity, wine, and good company at the Sault Ste. Marie Museum!

This Fundraiser is in partnership with the Hogwarts Society will take place on the evening of Thursday, July 21st, 2022 from 6:30pm to 9:00pm. The event will be held at the Sault Ste. Marie Museum (690 Queen Street East) in our main floor Durham gallery.

Tickets are $50 and will include your paint, canvas, painting instruction, and one glass of wine from Broers Jansen. More delicious wine and snacks will be available for purchase from Broers Jansen, who will be open on-site at the museum for the evening.

Please come dressed up for an evening class at Hogwarts.

Proceeds from this event will go towards the Sault Area Hospital. Thank you for supporting your local museum and your hospital.
